“ I had a great dinner here while visiting for a conference. My serve Chandler took great care of me. I sat and read and enjoyed my drinks. The shepherd's pie was delicious and the bread pudding was AMAZING (excellent rec from Chandler). Classic Irish pub vibes but with an extended variety on the menu. ”
“ We ate the leek soup, chicken wings, corn beef and cabbage, and the fish and chips. We left stuffed! But ended up ordering the wings and bread putting to go. We were very pleased. Everything was excellent. Our server Tim was very attentive and can't wait to go back. ”
“ Ambiance: Irish pub located off The Woodlands waterway offering patio seating/views of the waterway as well as indoor dining & bar seating. Great spot for groups, celebrations, or just enjoying a pint solo at the bar. I've been coming to Goose's off and on for about 4 years now and the food/drinks/vibes are always on point! They host a lot of weekly events like run club and trivia. Their food is amazing and I highly recommend the chicken friend chicken. Decent beer and cocktail selection. The service is always fast and friendly. Street & garage parking available nearby. Walking distance to several other shops/restaurants/bars. Perfect spot for bar hopping or grabbing a quick bite. ”
“ I haven't reviewed The Goose's Acre?!?! The shame, the shame! No, not every visit was stellar, but I'm sticking with 4 stars because I have trouble remembering what was imperfect. I think it was service on one or two visits that wasn't up to their usual standard. But normally this place is solid - nice staff, good to great food, solid drink selection, cool patio overlooking the "Waterway" / river walk. Bar inside looks awesome, although we've never sat at it. The more I try to remember what was lacking on some visits, it was indeed service - took too long to get drinks and/or service just wasn't on the ball enough. But that's the exception, not the rule. Normally service here it pretty solid. Burgers and apps are my usual go-to's. A favorite in this area for sure. Will keep going here. ”
“ I went here this past weekend with my church group and thought here had some nice vibes! The location is beautiful. And the service is top tier, super friendly and attentive of a waiter (we had Dylan!). I totally forgot to let my phone eat first; however, if I can sway anyone of you, I say try their GIANT SOFT PRETZEL. It is GIANT so most-definitely sharable (though I won't judge because I could theoretically eat it all myself hehe). Also, their citrus-infused pineapple martini (no simple syrup) is super refreshing for such humid weather! To end the night with a *healthy* signature, we indulged in their brownie sundae... LEMME TELL YA. MOST. FUGDY. BROWNIE. You will ever eat. WOW. BONUS!! They host bingo nights on Thursday and then karaoke afterwards (all ages included!). SYOY! ”
“ This place is just so fun to look at. The patio is nice, and the inside is great too for those hot summer days. Our service was quick and everyone was overall polite. I ordered soup and salad. Their ranch is delicious. The salad was really fresh and the potato leek soup was flavorful. The short rib poutine was really good. It has a great flavor profile. ”
“ First time coming here even though I have passed it many times going to Bar Louie or Rose. It's a pub with typical pub like decor. We sat at the bar our waiter was great very attentive. I ordered a cosmo then a Jameson and ginger ale both were great. My husband ordered a beer, there was a variety to choose from. For food we ordered buffalo wings and the Irish nachos were yummy too! They give you big portions for wings which I liked. This is a great chill place to grab a drink and some good bar food. Our meal came out to less than $60. ”
“ A group of friends and I were out walking the Waterway and were hungry and tired so we went in and were quickly seated. We had a great server who took our orders and soon we were eating some really nice food and also putting down some nice beers. The atmosphere here is nice, it's a bit on the dark side indoors but it has a real gastro pub kind of theme. Food is overall good, everything our group got was hot and tasty. No complaints. By the way, restrooms were spic and span, and that says a lot! ”
“ Popped in with my son for a late lunch. He has the chicken fried chicken with green beans. I had the half price Shepherds Pie. (I'm always looking for a great special) it certainly did not disappoint. Jack, my pickiest eater, was not disappointed either. We enjoyed our meal in a cozy booth near the faux fireplace and looking out the windows to the nice patio and well taken care of plants. Our server was a delight. I wish I could remember her name. She made great recommendations and was super friendly. ”
